About Us

Our Story

The Conroe Downtown Area Association (CDAA) is a 501c organization which was originally created to initiate changes in the liquor laws at the time.  Spearheaded by local businessman, Rodney Pool, the association helped repeal the Dry area of Conroe, which included the major portion of downtown.

The CDAA has been instrumental in organizing a wide variety of arts and entertainment in the downtown area, including the Texas Music Festival, Kidsfest, Issac Conroe Farmers Market, Shakespeare on Main, Christmas on Main and many others.
